The news has been floating around for a few days and The Political Game breaks down the incredulity and incongruity surrounding it for us. Then from the Idaho Statesman, we get an explanation today.
Former Idaho "libertarian Republican" (his words) Senator Steve Symms (yeah, that Steve Symms), is hosting a fundraiser for Democratic 1st District Congressman Walt Minnick and says he'll even write a check for the congressman, but that he'll never vote for the man. "It's just business," he says.
What... guess he's just not that into you? But hey, long as he's handing it out, always take the money.

Bonus coverage (and good for a laugh or two): See Symms talk about his book, The Citizen's Guide To Fighting Government, and more circa 1994, here.
What the ....????? Was no one alive but us when Symms was in office; I mean, com'on!
Said to say, I think ole' Walt is more republican than originally thought OR Steve has CHANGED! (think Holly Hunter in "Raising Arizona")

Yeah, no kiddin'. I seriously doubt Symms has changed much, though. And I guess Walt's just being Walt.
