He's done it again. Last week Congressman Bill Sali filed five more amendments to previously filed Federal Election Commission reports. This is in addition to the total of 43 amendments counted by Eye on Boise's Betsy Russell back in August. It also adds to the evidence of confusion within Sali's office that first came to light when he was nearly two weeks late filing his July report—then admitting that the report contained errors the campaign couldn't explain.
Apparently Sali just can't get it right, and that FEC training he coughed up $450 for back in 2007 still isn't paying off.
These amendments (three filed on Aug. 25, two on Aug. 26) are to reports filed just prior to and just after the 2006 election, and the April report of 2007.
The kicker: one of the amendments filed on the 26th actually amends one of the amendments filed on the 25th!
Other than being hilarious, isn't that the epitome of confusion? It's understandable that a congressman would want to be accurate in his reporting, and heaven knows we all make mistakes, but whatever happened to getting things right the first time. And how do we know that the reports are accurate this time?
What in the world is going on in the Sali campaign? This is ridiculous.
Maybe we shouldn't be so hard on Congressman Sali all the time. I explain why I believe his side of his latest controversy here: http://bubbleheads.blogspot.com/2008/09/i-believe-bill-sali-this-time.html

That's pretty good; they're *so* incompetent they couldn't *possibly* have coordinated a misleading attack ad with a 527....

"Whatever happened to getting things right the first time?"
Or the 45th?

Right, and really how do we trust the accuracy of *anything* they do.
