What's going on in the Idaho Republican party?
IdaBlue dug up some interesting information on Tuesday's GOP primary race for District 22 Senate between Sen. Tim Corder and Clayton Cramer. Seems there is a link between a last-minute, misleading flier against Sen. Corder and the chair of the Idaho GOP, Kirk Sullivan. Check it out here.
Sullivan also gets slammed by Bryan Fischer who all but calls the chairman "unfit" for his actions in what Fischer calls "late-breaking developments in the primary campaign for legislative seats in District 21." Apparently a letter on official party letterhead was mailed to voters in the district which had the appearance of endorsing the challengers. Fischer accuses Sullivan of failing to take swift action and surmises that it may have cost Rep. John Vander Woude the race. Check that out here.
Meanwhile Chairman Sullivan stood on the steps of the Capitol yesterday and insisted that, "We’re not in disarray."
Right, Mr. Sullivan.
Update 23:17: Read more at the unequivocal notion.

I wasn't happy about the IACI mailer, which may have cost me more votes than it gained me. There were some factual errors in some of their mailers, because by law, they couldn't talk to me. But there were no factual errors concerning Corder's votes.

Thanks for the link to the Bryan Fischer piece. I did receive a copy of the letter he mentions, and hadn't made the connection to it being related to John's defeat.
Since I am the Democratic candidate running for the position -- which now makes me the moderate, experienced candidate -- it's certainly made my job a lot easier.
I'm surprised, though, to see Fischer upset about a *more* conservative candidate winning.
